From the seafloor to the cool inland mountain forests, you’ll get to know cassowaries, platypus, rock wallabies, riflebirds, a bird of paradise and tree kangaroos ... yes, a kangaroo that lives in trees! Day 1 You’ll start your journey in Cairns where you’ll take a ferry to Green Island for the spectacular ’Seawalker’ experience. You don’t need to be a diver, just put on the helmet and their experts will walk with you underwater among colourful coral bommies and shoals of tropical fish. Enjoy a buffet lunch and a glass-bottom boat tour before an afternoon of snorkelling.

Day 2-3 After a night in Cairns you will start your fully-guided tour of the beautiful Atherton Tablelands, where the mountain air is refreshingly cool and the hills are cloaked by lush tropical rainforest. You’ll stay at Cassowary House, where you can meet resident Cassowary ’Missy’ and see Victoria’s Riflebird - one of Australia’s irridescent birds of paradise. An expert guide will take you to the Tableland’s famous landmarks to look for platypus and hand-feed rock wallabies at Mareeba.

Day 4 On the final day, after a superb breakfast platter, you’ll catch the Kuranda scenic train back to Cairns for your journey home.



Green Island cruise with Seawalker experience, 2 full days of private wildlife guiding, Kuranda Scenic Rail return to Cairns, 3 nights bed and breakfast, 3 lunches and 2 dinners.
