On this outstanding tour, you'll visit two of India's premier Tiger reserves: Bandhavgarh and Kanha. Accompanied by our Wild India guide and photographer, you'll take ten jeep safaris, searching for the elusive Tiger as well as a range of other specialty animals and birds.
A good jeep driver, great guide and all the skills, knowledge and experience to find the right location and the right light will put you in good stead to capture amazing photographs.
This week-long tour is incredible value for money. The price includes air fares from Australia, based on current Melbourne-Mumbai advertised rates (Thai Airways) and includes all your travel, transfers, meals, activities and accommodation.
Tigers can be hard to see. Our advice helps you coincide with the best dates and locations for seeing these wild animals.
Naturally the parks are shared with a lot of other wildlife and birds. When we’re not watching big cats, our specially-selected guides and drivers will be searching for all manner of other wildlife - there's always the slim chance of seeing Sloth Bear, Leopard, Striped Hyena and other lesser known wild cats.
As with any nature-based trip, access to specialist local knowledge and someone able to spot wildlife that we’d otherwise drive past (incidentally, very easy to do with Tigers) is a must. Being able to do this in a small safari vehicle means space for the use cameras.
So while we will also share the park with other visitors, it’s going to be up to the animals to decide whether they find us and the more time we spend, at the right time, with the right guides, the better the chance we have of a memorable encounter. Remember, no wildlife encounters are ever guaranteed, so it’s really important that the trip is focused on this essential need.
In addition, you will be travelling in the company of people who know the parks inside out and with photographers who share your passion for spending quality time in the right places and the type of extraordinary light that casts a perpetual glow over the Indian desert. The trips include jeep safaris, all of which will be done at first light or last light, leaving the quieter periods of the day for reviewing photos and relaxing.
