Nick Hayward and the Lyrebird

"Fourteen years ago the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) commissioned me to film lyrebirds, mimicking sounds of human origin for the production of Life of Birds" says Nick Hayward.

When the British public were asked to vote on the best David Attenborough moment ever, it wasn't hugging gorillas in Rwanda or watching Killer Whales catch seals on the beaches of Patagonia. It was Nick's humble lyrebird.

To date, over 9 MILLION people have tuned in to watch it on YouTube.
